Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology

The Speech Pathology Program offers an undergraduate major leading to the Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology degree. This degree qualifies students to apply for the endorsement for speech and language impairment from the Nevada Department of Education – Teacher Licensure. Once granted this endorsement, the students are able to apply for pre-kindergarten through grade 12 positions as speech-language therapists/pathologists with all school districts in the state of Nevada. The Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology degree also prepares students for graduate level studies in speech-language pathology and audiology or graduate level coursework in other educational and health related professions. 

Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Education Program in Speech Pathology

The Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Education Program in Speech Pathology is an option for students possessing a bachelor’s degree or greater in another field of study, the ability to:
  • Apply for the endorsement for speech and language impairment from the Nevada Department of Education – Teacher Licensure and to apply for positions as speech-language therapists/pathologists with all school districts in the state of Nevada or
  • Obtain the necessary academic requirements to apply to graduate programs in speech pathology and audiology.
