The Nevada State College Foundation funds a number of scholarship programs for students. Please keep in mind that Board of Regents' policies require scholarship recipients to have at least a 2.75 GPA. The 2011-12 Nevada State College Foundation Scholarship Application is available now through March 31, 2011.
For all students
- President Fred Maryanski Memorial Scholarship - TBD
- General Scholarship Fund – provides up to $500 per semester. The number of recipients is based on the amount of funding available
For freshman
- The Glenn and Ande Christenson Scholarship – provides one student $5,000 for each of their freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years. Scholarship total is $20,000
- The Robert and Sandy Ellis Endowed Freshman Scholarship Fund – provides $1,500 per year
For education majors
- Dorothy Galloway Education Scholarship - provides $1,500 per year
- Silver State Schools Credit Union Scholarship – provides up to $5,000 per year
For nursing majors
- The Clark County Medical Society Scholarship – provides $1,000 per year
- The Amanda Howard Endowed Scholarship Fund – provides $4,000 per year
- The Mike and Carolyn O’Callaghan Memorial Scholarship – provides $1,500 per year
- The Mike and Carolyn O’Callaghan Nursing Scholarship – provides $1,500 per year
- Agnes Phillips Nursing Scholarship - provides $5,000 per year
For business majors
- Lexus of Henderson - provides $5000 per year
Miscellaneous
- The Robert A. Swadell Memorial Scholarship – provides $2.000 per year to students with a desire to pursue a degree in science, math, engineering or teacher preparation; prior or anticipated military service; and an interest in pursuing a career in public service
