Strategic Plan

In fall 2008, the Liberal Arts & Sciences (LAS) Strategic Planning Committee developed a five-year plan to improve the overall curriculum and quality of instruction in LAS.  The Strategic Plan contains three overarching goals:

• Goal 1: Distinguish the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences education by providing a richly-interactive, high-quality learning experience defined by individualized attention, active learning, and rigorous academic standards. 
• Goal 2: Improve programs and curricula by assessing and refining existing learning outcomes and by developing new programs that resonate with students and the community.
• Goal 3: Facilitate the pursuit of academic excellence by improving the recruitment, support, and retention of exemplary faculty.

These goals are supported by nine strategic initiatives and related strategies for success.  Each academic year, the Strategic Plan will be updated as we progress in the achievement of established benchmarks.
