Taking Placement Tests

Nevada State College’s placement exams require approximately two hours to complete and consist of a math exam and an online English exam. Calculators are not permitted during the math exam.

Students are encouraged to take the placement exams as soon as they officially are admitted to the college and prior to seeing an academic advisor.

Please contact the placement coordinator to schedule an appointment for placement testing. Placement exams are administered at the Tutoring Center in the Dawson Building.
