Nevada State College helps local science teachers gain better understanding or regional geology, develop classroom lessons

A two-week workshop hosted by Nevada State College assisted Clark Country School District middle school and high school teachers develop a greater understanding of regional geology and encourage inquiry based learning for their students. During the workshop, teachers ventured into the Western Grand Canyon to conduct studies and experiments and were able to see casts made of actual prehistoric giant mammoth teeth.
