Outcomes Assessment Committee

Charge

The Outcomes Assessment Committee is composed of faculty representatives from each academic unit and members are appointed by the Provost. The committee is tasked with developing a comprehensive learning outcomes assessment plan to improve educational practices and teaching excellence as well as further enhance the quality of education at Nevada State College.

Structure

Membership

The membership of the Outcomes Assessment Committee is as follows: 

  • The Provost, who is Chair of the Outcomes Assessment Committee 
  • The Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment Management 
  • The Faculty Senate Chair 
  • Four representatives from the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences 
  • Two representatives from the School of Education 
  • Two representatives from the School of Nursing 
  • The Director of Library Services

Members shall serve on the committee at the discretion of the Provost.

Administrative Staff

Primary staff will be provided by the Assistant to the Provost.

Meetings

The Outcomes Assessment Committee meetings are scheduled regularly during the academic year.

As the Chair of the committee, the Provost sets the agenda in consultation with the Outcomes Assessment Committee members.
