Location & Campus

Nevada State College is located on a 509-acre site in Henderson, Nevada, a family-friendly community just 15 miles from the world-famous Las Vegas Strip.

Here in the heart of the Mojave Desert, you’ll find everything from symphony concerts to world-class shopping; from breathtaking mountain scenery to the tranquility of a bird preserve. With 300 sunny days in a typical year and a mean temperature of 66 degrees, Henderson offers an ideal climate for outdoor sports of all kinds.

NSC’s campus, which boasts magnificent view of the Las Vegas Valley, is undergoing rapid and dramatic growth. Within just a few years, the College will build a comprehensive mixed-use community on campus, incorporating student and faculty housing, a K-8 school, a medical clinic, and retail and food services.

The Liberal Arts & Sciences building, which opened in the fall of 2008, is the first facility to be completed under the master plan. Boasting state-of-the-art classrooms, offices, and meeting areas, the LAS building serves as a model for future development.

Other campus highlights include the Great Hall, a comfortable place to hang out with friends or watch a movie; a coffee shop; and the Heritage Center, where students and the community can enjoy art exhibits and multicultural events. Nursing and education programs are housed in the Basic and Water Buildings.
