Welcome to the English program at Nevada State College. The study of English develops analytical abilities and deepens the student's capacity for critical thinking. It provides an in-depth understanding of culture and history. Students of English are the carriers of cultural tradition as well as the developers of new cultural traditions as we broaden the literary canon to reflect the diversity of groups in our society.
