Admission Selection Criteria
Qualified applicants must have:
- A nursing program specific GPA of 3.0 or above. (This includes all the prerequisites listed under the School of Nursing Degree Programs and under the track you are pursuing: Regular or Accelerated).
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in all courses which have been taken at NSC or transferred from accredited institutions of higher education (this includes all courses that are not related to your nursing major as well as your program specific courses).
- Courses completed with a grade of "C-" or lower will not be considered for admission or transfer.
Applicant Selection Method:
Applications will be ranked by GPA, the TEAS test percentage score and the number of pre-nursing credits the applicant has completed at Nevada State College. The top ranking students will then be offered a position in the upcoming class. Students must accept their position in writing or their position will be given to the next qualified applicant.
Credits Remaining to be Completed at the Time of Application:
To be eligible for admission, the applicant must have 20 or less credits remaining to be completed in the semester before admission. Applicants with 21 or more credits remaining need to apply for the next application period.
