Process for obtaining transfer credit...
Students wishing to transfer to the School of Nursing from another nursing school must apply for admission to Nevada State College and receive a degree audit (DARS) evaluating their previous college work. In addition, students must have their previous nursing coursework evaluated by the School of Nursing and seek advisement from the Associate Dean or Dean of the School of Nursing.
Courses that have not been assigned credit by the Admissions evaluation may be challenged. This requires obtaining a course description from the college catalog where the course was completed and must show the catalog is from the appropriate year. An academic advisor can complete a petition for substitution which must be approved and signed by the Dean. This paperwork is sent to Admissions and the DARS is updated and credit given towards the fulfillment of requirements.
