On October 1, 2008, students and faculty of the School of Nursing at Nevada State College gathered for the Healing Presence Ceremony. This annual event celebrates their dedication to the art of caring in nursing, with special focus placed on the energy of healing presence within nurse-patient and faculty-student relationships.

The school includes Bachelor of Science Programs in Nursing and Occupational Science. The Nursing program is rooted in a caring based framework and reflective approach that will challenge students to focus on the heart of nursing and to develop their abilities to become highly ethical and competent professionals. The Occupational Science program is based on the study of occupations and provides students with a firm foundation for entry into an occupational therapy program.
