Assistance for Nursing Students
Nevada State College Nursing students have additional opportunities for funding through outside entities. Students are advised to understand their responsibilities as participants in these programs as there include work commitments beyond graduation that must be fulfilled.
St. Rose College to Careers Nursing Program
St. Rose Hospitals provides nursing students in the Nevada State College Registered Nurse Program the opportunity to receive up to $8,000 ($4,000 annually) in College to Careers dollars to cover the cost of education related fees, books and tuition. In return, College to Careers Program recipients agree to work for St. Rose for a predetermined amount of time following graduation and licensing.

Valley Health System Adopt-A-Student Loan Program
The Valley Health System (VHS) representing Desert Springs Hospital, Summerlin Hospital, and Valley Hospital Medical Centers, in cooperation with the Nevada State College (NSC), offers this loan program to NSC students in their last 4 full-time (or last 8 half-time) semesters of their Registered Nursing Program.
The VHS is offering payment up to $2000.00 per semester required for your education in the form of a promissory note. The maximum amount students can receive through this program is $8,000.00. Students' selection and participation in the Adopt-A-Student Loan Program requires commitment to become employed within The Valley Health System immediately upon graduation for a minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse (RN). Satisfying this commitment considers this loan paid in full.

WICHE Nursing Internship
The State of Nevada Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) provides grant opportunities for nursing students who intend to work within the state of Nevada upon graduation and licensing. Applications for the WICHE program are available at www.wiche.edu.
